Cursed Energy
Cursed Energy 1.0 brings cursed energy to D&D 5e in Foundry: a shared reserve, innate techniques, reinforcement, binding vows, reverse energy and complete domain rules. The spell-slot converter remains available; the GM enables optional training per character.
Play from your character sheet
Techniques are features with native activities. Target tokens, use an activity on the sheet and confirm its cost and options. The module checks range and requirements, spends energy, posts rolls and applies damage, healing or effects. The reserve appears in Features. No extra button beside the close control or separate gameplay dashboard is required.
The GM configures characters and creates techniques in Settings → Configure Cursed Energy. Players use features on sheets they own; a connected GM resolves automation.
Complete repertoire
- Three original families with three techniques each: Impact, Threads and Veil.
- Cursed Strike, three reinforcements and Black Flash triggered by a critical hit while offensively reinforced.
- Three mechanically enforced binding vows, reverse healing and purification.
- Three domains with areas, concentration, upkeep, pulses, clashes, barriers, Simple Domain and burnout.
- GM editor for attack, save, healing and temporary-HP techniques.
- Five compendiums: 20 items and six manual chapters in each language, plus two macros. Full Portuguese and English content.
Domains require training level 11, cost 20 CE, last three turns and cost 4 CE upkeep on each subsequent turn. One expansion is available per long rest; ending causes three turns of burnout. The manuals define targeting, overlaps, clashes, barrier passage and automation boundaries.
Compatibility and validation
Foundry v12+ and dnd5e 4.4.4+. Validated in a Foundry 14.364 / dnd5e 5.3.3 world: 81 content and technique checks and 21 combat checks passed, in addition to local regression tests. No Midi-QOL or socketlib dependency. Other game systems are not currently supported.
These are original d20 house rules inspired by Jujutsu Kaisen concepts. Costs, progression and repertoire are designed for this module. Sight, cover, narrative and the shared economy with ordinary actions remain table decisions.
The introduction includes Patreon support and news about developing The System. Each user can select Don't show again, including future versions.
